General
Even if the content of the apps is aimed more at elementary school students, there is no age limit. Who says that the advantages of handwriting no longer apply from the age of 8!
Mental arithmetic helps us all and if you can then play against each other and beat your own best times while bridging waiting times at the doctor or at the bus stop. Scripi not only helps you learn to read and write in your native language, but also to learn or brush up on a foreign language.
This depends primarily on the child’s level of knowledge. All apps presuppose writing and tie in with learned letters and numbers. We are of the opinion that an app cannot replace the learning of this basic skill and reinforce the approach of doing this playfully through several senses.
Mathio App
The handwriting recognition uses the hit probability of an entry on the basis of the traces made and not the image created. The currently recognized result can be found highlighted in the task, at the place where the question mark can be seen at the beginning. If you want to correct the recognized result, you can clear the workspace by clicking the delete button at the bottom left of the screen.
In the settings there is also the possibility to adjust the forced writing accuracy.

Scripi App
Add several elements at once by separating them with a semicolon ; (e.g. apple; banana; orange).
Select the desired list and adjust the entries as desired.
Preset lists cannot be extended. However, the contain can be copied to the clipboard by the copy button in the upper right corner within the list view and pasted and extended in own lists.
If nothing can be heard despite increasing the phone’s media volume, a voice pack might be missing. The app uses the phone’s text-to-speech (TTS) settings. You can find these in the phone’s settings and in the settings in the Scripi app itself. Please make sure that the appropriate language packs are installed and updated. An update usually allows for better language files and thus clearer pronunciation.

The app uses the Text-to-Speech (TTS) settings of the phone. You can find them in the phone’s settings and in the settings in the Scripi app itself. Please make sure that the appropriate language packs are installed and, most importantly, updated. An update usually allows for better voice files and thus clearer pronunciation. If necessary, change the voice, pitch or reading speed to your liking.

If you want to correct the recognized result, you can clear the workspace via the delete button at the bottom left of the screen or reset individual strokes via the undo button.
